BT Total Broadband Update
Hello everybody!
We just wanted to give you an update on the latest from BT Total broadband. There are some big changes scheduled for BT.com in a few weeks’ time which will improve the customer journey – we’ll let you know about these when they have been tested. There have already been some tweaks taking place on site to improve conversion.
Part of these changes affect the £13 Limited deal (£6.50 for 3 months) on the broadband packages page, which is occasionally ‘hidden’ from customers. Following this, there is very little between the £13 deal above and the £26 Unlimited BT Infinity plus Evening and Weekend Calls (£20 for first three months) – I hope this sales insight is useful for you.

Last Friday was very exciting in BT with the launch of Totally Unlimited Broadband offering. It’s been received very well and is outselling regular broadband 2:1 in the past few days. Apart from being Totally Unlimited, it also comes with extra storage via BT Cloud. I’ve attached some information about BT Cloud to the document section of the BT TotalBB profile.

New services and updates from BT

We hope the snow isn’t causing you too many disruptions this weekend!
We wanted to keep you updated with the latest from BT.
BT.com site changes
BT.com have been making changes to the site to improve conversion, this includes shortening offer names which now read “Broadband” and “More Broadband” etc. To avoid confusion for visitors to your site, please ensure that the BT product names you use mirror those on the main BT site:

Also BT SmartTalk launched this week- an app which allows BT customers to save money on their smartphone calls. It’s the first app launched in the UK to link an iPhone or Android phone with a customer’s home phone calling plan. There are some big savings to be made and it’s particularly good as a way to avoid racking up mobile charges overseas. More information about this service has been uploaded into the Documents tab of the BT page.
In addition when customers buy any BT package they can connect to the internet at hotpots dotted throughout the country – the same way that they do at home. BT are heading towards half a million regular users every month of this service.
Make sure you include BT SmartTalk and wi-fi as features when you mention BT Broadband on your site as that will help customers to make the right decision.
Finally, following much testing of the BT mobile landing pages, the results are looking pretty good. For those of you who have mobile enabled site, please could you switch from the current mobile site to the one below which has multiple pages and gives you choice about where you can land. We also wanted to make you aware of some important price changes at BT. BT customers have already received notification of price increases in their statements that come into effect on 5th January and the prices on BT.com have already been updated to give customers 30 days notice.
Please be aware that you may need to make changes to prices on your site. The main prices changing are below:
Calls
- Line rental – increasing from £14.60> £15.45
- Note: LRS saving is increasing from £46.20> £56.40 (approved saving claim until 5 Jan is “save up to £56.40”. After 5 Jan claim will be “Save £56.40”)
- UAP – increasing from £4.90> £5.15
- UEWP – increasing from £3.15> £3.30
- International Freedom - increasing from £5.20> £5.50
- Friends and family international - increasing from £1.05> £1.10
- Calling features (1 feature) - increasing from £3.15> £3.30
- Calling features (2-4 features) - increasing from £6.30> £6.60
- Calling features (5+) - increasing from £8.40> £8.80
- Set up fee for chargeable calls - increasing from 13.1p> 13.87p
- MCCs across all calls products changing to: £2 (monthly charge) £6 (quarterly charge)
TV
- TV Essential - increasing from £4> £5
- Sky Sports 1- increasing from £12.90> £15
- Sky Sports 2- increasing from £12.90> £15
- Sky Sports 1 & Sky Sports 2 - increasing from £18.20> £20

Rise in Commission and new creative!
Great news for dabs.com affiliates! From Monday 19th of November to 31st December dabs.com will be raising their commission from 2% to 4%.
There will also be new creative available as of Monday to really drive home sales and make the most of the rise in commission.
