New services and updates from BT

We hope the snow isn’t causing you too many disruptions this weekend!

We wanted to keep you updated with the latest from BT.

BT.com site changes
BT.com have been making changes to the site to improve conversion, this includes shortening offer names which now read “Broadband” and “More Broadband” etc. To avoid confusion for visitors to your site, please ensure that the BT product names you use mirror those on the main BT site:

http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/broadband/packages

Also BT SmartTalk launched this week- an app which allows BT customers to save money on their smartphone calls. It’s the first app launched in the UK to link an iPhone or Android phone with a customer’s home phone calling plan. There are some big savings to be made and it’s particularly good as a way to avoid racking up mobile charges overseas. More information about this service has been uploaded into the Documents tab of the BT page.

In addition when customers buy any BT package they can connect to the internet at hotpots dotted throughout the country – the same way that they do at home. BT are heading towards half a million regular users every month of this service.

Make sure you include BT SmartTalk and wi-fi as features when you mention BT Broadband on your site as that will help customers to make the right decision.

Finally, following much testing of the BT mobile landing pages, the results are looking pretty good. For those of you who have mobile enabled site, please could you switch from the current mobile site to the one below which has multiple pages and gives you choice about where you can land.
