We have been reviewing our affiliate program’s commission rates and after some consideration we have decided that to stay competitive we will be lowering our rates for the Lighting & Studio category for all affiliates, the rates will be lowered from 3% to 2%. We will also be increasing the Astronomy and Optics category from 2% to 3%. These commission rate changes will commence from 1^st February 2018.

Dear Wex Affiliates

We’re writing to give you notice of a change to our commission process. In order to build a sustainable affiliate program, we want to stop paying commission where affiliates haven’t been involved in driving the sale, and also prevent affiliates having their commission overwritten by other affiliates last minute. To do this we’re going to use a Basket Freeze model. Once the customer enters the checkout from the basket, the referrer (Wex marketing or affiliate) is set and can’t be overwritten for a period of 30 minutes. For the vast majority of you this will have no effect on commissions, or increase them slightly.

We will implement this next week (Tues 17th of October), please feel free to contact us about any queries or concerns.

We would like to inform you that Wex Photographic and Calumet Photographic UK have officially merged offering an improved experience and wider range of products to photographers across the UK and Northern Ireland. This has resulted in the closure of the Calumet Photographic UK website, and all traffic will be re-directed to Wex. All Calumet stores in the UK will remain open as usual, trading under the Calumet name until refitted over the coming months.

This is a very exciting time for affiliates as we are expecting improvements to our conversion rate from the new ‘click-and-collect’ feature that we now offer. We can reassure all affiliates that your experience using our program on Awin will remain the same, we should however see the extra benefits from merging with another beloved brand.

We also have Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas just around the corner, and we would love to talk to you regarding any exposure opportunities.

Today is a very exciting day for the photography world, Fuji has just announced three fantastic new cameras! The Fuji X-100F, the X-T20 and Fuji’s first mirrorless medium format camera, the GFX 50s.

They are available for Pre-Order and the camera details are as follows:
