Meet Santa at ZSL London Zoo – 22 Nov – 24 Dec
Experience the magic of Christmas this year at ZSL London Zoo!
Children and their families can Meet Santa in the fairy-tale setting of his grotto and enjoy a day fun packed with Christmas themed activities.
Don’t forget about the animals! With more than 750 species there is lot to see and learn at ZSL London Zoo. Visitor can get up close with some of the rarest species on earth, like our family of critically endangered Sumatran tigers, and enjoy live talks to discover more about our animals!

Meet Santa will run 10:15am - 3:45pm at ZSL London Zoo on weekends from 22 November and then daily from 19 - 24 December.

Tickets are available to book online in advance. Tickets for Meet Santa are included as part of the ZSL London Zoo admission price for children. Adults will gain entry to the experience for free with their general zoo entry ticket.

ZSL London Zoo’s Animal Photography Exhibition is back with a bite
Celebrating some of the world’s most dynamic new animal photography, the Zoological Society of London’s (ZSL) Animal Photography Prize Exhibition is back for the third year at ZSL London Zoo with the winning images on display from Friday 19 September.
Celebrity animal enthusiasts, television presenter Kate Humble and ornithologist Bill Oddie, have returned this year to judge the fierce competition that sees entrees battling to catch the judges’ attention and win the six categories’ top prizes.
The annual exhibition, which boasts a £10k prize fund, features six categories to challenge and delight viewers of all ages, including the poignant Last Chance to See? and unpredictable Weird and Wonderful.
Previous photos displayed in the stunning annual exhibition have included mysterious manatees swimming through murky waters, snap-happy gorillas getting behind the camera, and tiny ants displaying Herculean acts of strength.
First launched in 2012, the exhibition was created to inspire photographers professional and amateur, young and mature, to get out and capture the magic of the natural world.
The breathtaking images, on display within the month, are free for all ZSL London Zoo visitors to browse and enjoy - giving them an additional chance to get up close and personal with even more of the world’s rarest and fairest creatures.
ZSL Animal Photography Prize
The ZSL Animal Photography Prize exhibition will be unveiled at ZSL London Zoo on Friday 19 September 2014. The exhibition will be available for visitors to enjoy until early 2015. ZSL’s scientific and field conservation work with animals around the world, along with the inhabitants at ZSL London Zoo and its larger country cousin at Whipsnade, have always inspired legions of photographers. Archive photographs in the zoo’s collection date as far back as 1860, showing that all creatures’ great and small have been rousing subjects for photographers since the advent of photography.

Everything aquatic - in, around or under the water.

• Adult winner in each category - £1,000
• Young Persons winner in each category - £250
• Overall adult winner (Judges’ Choice) across all categories - wins additional £1,000
• Overall Young Persons (Judges’ Choice) winner across all categories - wins additional £500
