Brussels Christmas Market

Every winter over a mile of the stretch from the world-famous Grand Place to Place Ste-Catherine is decked out with hundreds of wooden huts offering hand-crafted toys, warming mugs of mulled wine, and moules mariniere by the bucket full. The market is open from 28 November 2014 to 4 January 2015.

It's dead easy to take the train to Brussels, simply hop on the Eurostar and you'll be there in just over 2 hours from London.

Strasbourg Christmas Market

Strasbourg hosts one of Europe's most spectacular Christmas markets. Dating back to the 16th century, Strasbourg is the oldest Christmas market in France and one of the largest. The market is open from 28 November to 31 December 2014.
Take the train from London and you could be in Strasbourg in just 4hrs 32mins. Catch the Eurostar to Paris and then change onto a TGV service to Strasbourg.

Vienna Christmas Market

You’re positively spoilt for choice in the Austrian capital at Christmas. The splendid squares and streets of this historic city play host to several markets, the biggest of which fills Rathausplatz in front of the imposing City Hall.
The market is open from 15 November to 24 December 2014.
The quickest way to travel to Vienna by train is to catch Eurostar to Brussels. From here you need to transfer onto ICE services to Vienna, changing in Frankfurt.
