2015 has been an eventful year for us what with our usual appeals and how we’ve been able to respond to a number of emergency appeals. So thank you for your support and for helping us make a difference to the lives of others.
Christmas is our current focus and like last year, we’re excited to have UK Aid match funding. For every pound given to our Christmas Appeal, the UK Government will match it with another pound between 06/11/15 and 05/02/16.
Every 60 seconds, a child dies of malaria and in Nigeria alone around 250,000 children die of this entirely preventable disease, every year. This year, our Christmas appeal focuses on the moving stories of families, young children, mothers and babies affected by malaria in Nigeria, and the life-saving work we’re doing there to provide mosquito nets and train community health volunteers.
With your help we can make every £1=£2, so we’ve decided to award double commission on single donations made between the 19th November and 19th December 2015. So instead of 10% you will earn 20% commission on any successful single donation and £20 commission on all tracked direct debit donations.
- Christmas banners and text links are now available in the creative library. Every 60 Seconds is the message that runs across all creatives
- Suggested costings for single and monthly donations:
£9 could buy three life –saving mosquito nets
£60 can train three health volunteers
£100 could teach 60 schoolchildren about malaria
£3 a month could buy a life-saving mosquito net
£9 a month could buy three life –saving mosquito nets
£20 a month can train a health volunteer
- Feel free to use copy included in our emails or from the website – for any other text, please contact us for approval
We’ll be in touch again to give you further updates including our Christmas Appeal video, an interactive day in the life of health volunteer Ngozi and what we will be doing this year for #GivingTuesday (1st December). If you have any opportunities or would like to discuss any of the above, email me directly at email@example.com. Thanks in advance for helping us to fight malaria in Nigeria this Christmas.
