Headlines from History

Bournemouth was rocked by a double tragedy in 1935 and the Bournemouth Graphic provides in-depth coverage. When retired architect Francis Rattenbury was murdered at his Manor Road home, his wife Alma and her 18-year-old lover, George Stoner were prime suspects. Stoner was convicted and although acquitted of the crime, the ordeal drove Alma to take her own life.
