WORK TO DRINKS DRESSING THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE

Written by Modafirma on . Posted in Awin, Fashion, General Promotions, Network, UK

With so little time available we need to figure out how you can dress for work when there are drink plans ahead.  More importantly looking boring is no longer acceptable.

For those of us who have a penchant for fashion; getting ready for work can be emotionally draining.  You are coupled with lots of “what if” questions along with the quest of wearing something that is not labelled as “average”.  It is therefore not surprising that doing this five times a week can be a very tiresome exercise, often leading you to turn to your trusted tailored trousers and blazer with a few glitzy accessories to liven the look up ready for town.

It is now time to spruce up your day/evening wear and say goodbye to dressing like a secretary every week behind you and we will show you how.

We have the definitive guide that will take you from the office to happy hour effortlessly.  Let us show you the key to mastering the balance between formal business attire and sassy evening wear.

Regardless of your day job, a simple monochrome outfit is a timeless piece.  Yes the colour blocked style gives this minimalistic look an edgier feel for the day but choose a few accessories and you can add the fun back into this statement piece.  If you are feeling daring choose a new lipstick, the key is in the detail.

If your personal fashion choices guide you towards a feminine (slightly sexy) fitted design that will flatten your physique you can still achieve this without overdoing it will a wrap dress.  Perfect demure, taking you from day to drink with minimal effort.  Execute with killer heels and this dress will hug your curves making you feel sophisticated yet doubling as a stand out after dark outfit.

The wrap dress will always remain a staple item in any ladies wardrobe.  Why?  It is simple but blessed with sexy attributes it is a dress that oozes sex appeal without revealing too much for work attire.  Plus the knee length style is worthy of its reputation.  Dressing this off duty should be combined with loud accessories. You can never go over the top when accessorising the wrap dress.

But let’s not forget the predictable yet staple white blouse. Get it right and you can pull of a chic look.  Never ignore the classic white blouse in your wardrobe on a Friday.  Perfectly clash a feminine cut blouse with masculine fitted trousers.  For the perfect canvas add some bright accents such as a belt, high heels or chunky necklace.  If you do it right the work trousers do not need to be reserved just for business meetings. Alternatively swop the masculine style trousers for a black pencil skirt and quickly add some bold heels and you will be ready to leave the papers behind for the weekend and head into town!
