Please now that SSE have a new 1 year fixed rate tariff which is now live. Please see details below:

SSE’s cheapest energy tariff

Fix your energy prices for 12 months

◊◊ Prices correct as at July 2015. This tariff is available to Dual Fuel, electricity only customers and Electric with Heat (Domestic Economy, THTC, Superdeal, Economy 7 and Economy 10) customers who satisfy all of the conditions for the duration of the tariff. Pay by fixed monthly Direct Debit, provide a valid email address including providing meter readings at least every 6 months. If you leave this tariff after your start date and more than 49 days before the end of the 12 month period, we reserve the right to apply an early exit fee of £30 per fuel. If you fail to meet any of the conditions during the contract term for the tariff, we will switch you from the SSE 1 Year Fixed tariff to our relevant cheapest evergreen tariff at that time. Changes to Government policies announced in December 2013 have resulted in a reduction in the cost of supplying energy. These cost savings have already been factored into the unit prices for this tariff.
