Summer and the Sun at last - and it’s time to stock up on our dazzling thirst quenching Rosés still at pre-Referendum prices (the current devaluation of sterling will shortly add approx. £1.00 to a bottle).

Top of our list is Mas de Cadenet, the much celebrated Rosé from the foothills of Mont Sainte-Victoire, made by the Négrel family at only £10.95 - and don’t forget their award winning Bandol. Our Rosés start at £7.95 with an excellent Pinot Grigio Rosé and La Petite Source from the Languedoc.

No offer of great Rosés would be complete without Whispering Angel and its fellow Rosés from Sacha Lichine including the very affordable Sacha Lichine Single Blend at £9.95 and Rock Angel at £19.95 - which also comes in marvellous big bottles.

And there are more - spoilt for choice.

Best,
Sam

"A seductive pale pink Provençal Rosé with lovely delicate fruit and a crisp clean finish."

Jonathan Ray, Daily Telegraph

Affordable Rosés

A radiant light pink Rosé packed with summer fruit flavours. Every fridge should have a bottle of this everyday drinking Rosé in it - at only £7.95 a bottle it is on a par with much more expensive Rosés from Provence.

"Pale and sleek in a tall, slim bottle, there's a tiny bit of Merlot in the blend for colour. With some straw and light herb notes, the character is dry, some redcurrant and a touch of red liquorice in there, before a palate that offers more of the same, with a savoury character and dry, appetising finish." - Tom Cannavan, wine-pages.com

An excellent Cabernet Franc - Merlot rosé from the Bordeaux /Bergerac border. Château Fayolle's deliberately low yield, no herbicides and consummate winemaking by Jean Gazaniol, is, we believe, one of the finest in the Bergerac appellation. Very good value, dry, zesty rosé.

"Utterly charming...it’s a lovely pale salmon pink and full of wonderfully fresh wild strawberry fruit.   It’s fruity yet dry, with a surprisingly firm backbone and a luscious edge too....vibrantly refreshing." Jonathan Ray

A terrific salmon pink Rosé with delicious crisp and refreshing light strawberry flavours that will put many much more expensive Rosés from Provence to shame.

At only £9.95 a bottle the wine further enhances Domaine Grands Bois reputation for making small quantities of wines of the very highest quality at very modest prices.

Premium Rosés

A small parcel of exceptional rosé from Bandol - the most highly regarded appellation in the region which is known as the little queen or "La Petite Reine" in French! This very serious rosé wine is a real treat for rosé lovers. Only made in tiny quantities so order quickly! - it is one of Decanter's top 10 rosés in the World.

"Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Miraval, made with help from Rhône maestro Marc Perrin, continues to enthral with its dreamy, dry, fresh pear, garrigue herb and strawberry-stashed palate. Peppery Syrah and zingy rolle add complexity here. Worth every penny."

Jane MacQuitty, The Times

A beautiful hand crafted Rosé surpassing the 2014 vintage.

"Mouth-filling and beautifully balanced. Lovely satin texture. Very obviously superior wine. Hugely appetising." Jancis Robinson on the 2014

As the flamboyant Sacha Lichine remarks ‘it started with a whisper… now it's time to rock.’

'The most hypnotic pattisier’s scent & the depth of flavour is outstanding.'

19/20 Matthew Jukes

'Full body plus loads of flavor and richness. Intense and flavorful. Has a long, long finish.'

94/100 James Suckling

'Juicy and complex on the palate, it has a serious, pure, dry finish.'

Will Lyons (The Wall Street Journal)

“Amazing aromas of earth, mushroom, stone, mineral and slate. Flowers too. Full-bodied and round yet agile and dynamic. Flavors of delicate strawberry, apple, lemon and mineral. Salty. Linear, energetic backbone of acidity. Barrel fermented and aged for almost a year. From mostly old vine Grenache and rolle. Super structure and impressive finish. This will be even better in 2016 but great now. Greatest rosé ever.” James Suckling
