We all love our furry friends! So it's important that they are happy and more importantly safe whilst you are working from home.Take a look at our tips to make working at home easier for both you and your pet:
For the pets that crave attention!
We all need a break whilst working, so this is a perfect opportunity to give your pet some of the attention they desire. Set up designated play times in your working routine. This gives you time to recharge, plus allows your pet to have fun.
For the pets that don't get that you need some space....
We all love our pets, but sometimes it can be a struggle to get work done! Take back control and set up your work area. We should be teaching our pets that we control the daily routine and that it is not ok to be disruptive. Your pet will soon learn the new routine and will start to play with their toys, have a snooze and keep themselves occupied without relying on you 24/7.
Be flexible...
It is not easy to stick to your usual schedule when you are working from home with your pets. If you do need to change your routine so it is easier, make sure you do.

Keeping Your Dog Occupied Whilst You Work From Home

Here are some ideas for keeping your dog occupied whilst you work from home:
1. Make sure your dog has plenty of toys to play with.
2. Make sure they have enough food and water before you start work.
3. Try to train your dog to put their toys away - it is possible!
4. Give them enough space so they can run around, a garden if possible.
5. Try a frozen treat, this will keep them occupied whilst waiting for it to melt!

Keeping Your Cat Occupied Whilst You Work From Home

Here are some ideas for keeping your cat occupied whilst you work from home:
1. Make sure your cat has plenty of toys to play with.
2. Make sure they have enough food and water before you start work.
3. If possible, give them access so they can have a wander outside.
4. Make sure they have a comfortable place to nap.
5. Built an agility course, that should keep them occupied for a good while!

Finally, make sure you have checked that your home is safe from any possible hazards. You can't always watch your pet whilst you are working so it is important to ensure both your and their environment is safe.
