- August bank holiday weekend
(Saturday 29 August to Monday 31 August)
Improvement works, leading to lengthy delays/extended rail journeys, will take place over the bank
holiday weekend between the following stations:
London Euston and Watford Junction
Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central
Milton Keynes Central and Rugby
Sandwell and Dudley and Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton and Crewe
All lines to the east of Bath Spa will be closed - this is the route between Chippenham and Bath Spa, and Trowbridge and Bath Spa.
BANK HOLIDAY RAIL STRIKE: First Great Western rail workers have proposed a 24-hour strike at 00:01 on 23 August and a 72-hour strike beginning at 00:01 on 29 August and running until 23:59 on 31 August. If strike action is taken, no First Great Western rail services will operate during this time between Wales and the south west of England to London Paddington.

- East Midlands/Thameslink disruption
(Each weekend throughout August 2015)
Service disruption will affect every weekend in AUgust for the following routes into London:
Leicester
Nottingham
Sheffield
Derby
Luton Airport
- Rail disruption to airports on 30 August 2015
Rail passengers will experience rail disruption on the following routes:
Bournemouth to Heathrow
Southampton to Heathrow
Poole to Heathrow
Portsmouth to Gatwick
- Bath Box Tunnel Closure
Phase 2: 1 – 31 August 2015
All lines to the east of Bath Spa will be closed.
Bath Spa/Bristol - London Paddington
Journeys towards London from Bath Spa will be routed via Bristol Temple Meads, frequency reduced to hourly and journey times will increase by 30 minutes.
Chippenham - London Paddington
Services between Chippenham and London Paddington will be reduced to an hourly frequency. Services between Chippenham and Swindon will be reduced to an hourly frequency.
Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central via Bristol Temple Meads
An hourly service to / from Portsmouth Harbour will be diverted via Melksham and Chippenham and will start / terminate at Swindon.
Melksham will be reduced to an every other hour frequency.
Customers travelling to Trowbridge, Bradford-upon-Avon and Bath Spa will be directed to Westbury for a replacement bus service.
National Express services will not be affected and additional services will be available to book throughout this disruption.
- Victoria Tube Line closure
August 8-30, 2015
A stretch of the Victoria Line, between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central, will be closed for three weeks between August 8-30 for upgrade works.
This means that no trains will run between Walthamstow Central and Seven Sisters during this period.
National Express Coaches will be available to book during this time.
