Mixed Cases

Cleanskin Collection £103.88
Cleanskins: the smartest way to buy Australian fine wines. How smart? You'll save £48!

When the better Aussie wineries find themselves with excess stock, instead of flooding the market, they sell them on unlabelled at 'under-the-counter' prices. They keep up the cashflow whilst protecting their brand. We love these deals and you will too if you like Aussie reds. You'll enjoy a smart Barossa Shiraz from a family boasting three Jimmy Watson winners - Australian wine's biggest prize. Your Coonawarra Shiraz Cabernet Merlot sells for $25 at home - it's a steal at £8.66. Your final hush-hush deal is a limited release Zinfandel from a very famous winery in Margaret River. Order your case today!

Red Wine

Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva 2005 £95.88 (12 bottles), £47.94 (6 bottles)
Smooth, complex, elegant Gran Reserva from Valencia, brimming with spicy strawberry and creamy oak

Where else can you buy mellow barrel aged reds of this quality at such an everyday price? Not only is today's Spanish wine scene "among the most vibrant, dynamic and creative in the world" (Tim Atkin MW), it surely offers the best value.Valencia is known as Madrid by the sea (where the Madrileños flock at the weekend for relaxation). Inland there are orange groves and extensive paddy fields - it's where paella is said to have been invented - and of course, vineyards. Winemaker Maria Angeles Camara combines Monastrell with Tempranillo for dark, juicy fruit flavour. Extensive barrel ageing provides a soft edge of vanilla. This fragrant, medium bodied red is in its element with duck or lamb, strong cheese, or tapas such as jamón Serrano.

White Wine

Waterval Hoek Chenin Blanc Viognier 2011 £83.88 (12 bottles), £41.94 (6 bottles)
Innovative variation on straight Cape Chenin from the state of the art DGB cellar. Lovely and rich

As The Times has noted, "New World Chenin Blancs have more punch than the Gallic originals, a useful attribute given the full on flavours of modern cuisine." This deliciously ripe white goes a step further with the addition of rich and aromatic Viognier. It's made at the state of the art DGB cellar by winemaker Jaco Potgieter. Jaco's secret is to identify the best vineyards across the Western Cape and by working closely with growers ensure perfectly ripened, hand harvested grapes.Waterval Hoek means Waterfall Corner and it's a place of immense beauty with stunning views of the Drakenstein mountains. Bursting with apple and apricot character, this racy dry white goes really well with Summer salads or spicy fish and chicken dishes.

Fine Wine

DC 900 Shiraz Malbec Gran Reserva 2008 £167.88 (12 bottles), £83.94 (6 bottles)
Incredibly exciting fine wine steal from one of the absolute best sites in Chile - do not miss out!

Establishing the highest vineyard in the Colchagua Valley was an incredible feat of engineering. But the lure of purer air, milder temperatures and soils of Grand Cru quality (according to terroir specialist Pedro Parra) meant nothing would stand in the Edwards family's way. They even built a micro-winery on site to crush the grapes immediately after harvesting.Early results suggest potential for some of Chile's greatest wines with their Malbec (the same wine used in this very cuvée) winning Gold at the Concours Malbec in France in 2010. This mouthwatering blend of Shiraz and Malbec was aged in French and American oak for added complexity, fragrance and finesse. Decant and serve with dry-aged sirloin steak or beef Wellington.
