Gocompare.com are looking for affiliates to join its affiliate programme who are on the same mission to help customers get great financial products at a great price - Nothing quite compares to Gocompare!

With Gocompare.com, customers can also compare a wide variety of other products and services including financial, travel and business products, plus utilities and other household services. To help customers choose the right product at the right price, we have partnered with independent financial research company Defaqto to provide product overviews and star ratings.

Terms and conditions

By applying to become an affiliate of Gocompare.com, you agree and accept our terms and conditions as set out in the Affiliate Window interface. If you have any difficulty accessing the Affiliate Window interface, please email your account manager.

Clicks through to the Gocompare.com website and all quotes carried out via the Gocompare.com website shall be tracked by Affiliate Window and updated to accounts daily. Only quotes that meet the merchant’s criteria as a valid quotation shall be approved and quotes which are deemed false or fraudulent shall be declined. Gocompare.com reserves all rights to take such action (including, but without limitation, legal action) as is considered necessary in its sole discretion in order to prevent any fraudulent or otherwise unlawful use of its website or this programme.

Gocompare.com operates with a closed group of cashback affiliates on this programme. No additional cashback sites are permitted to run this programme without prior written authorisation from Gocompare.com. Should you wish to be considered to join the programme, please contact the account management team.

Websites which adopt the following practices or which contain the following content will not be accepted as members of the Gocompare.com affiliate programme and may be removed from the programme and declined payment of commission:

  • Spamming
  • Adware / Spyware
  • Websites which use unapproved creative or copy or which otherwise infringe the rights including (but without limitation) the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Websites which contain obscene content or links to adult websites
  • Gambling websites, gambling themed websites or websites that are seen to be encouraging gambling
  • Websites that appear to be operating under false claims to include money saving websites and cashback and loyalty sites
  • Websites bidding on PPC search engines using Gocompare’s trademarks or terms substantially similar thereto (further details below)
  • Websites which publish content that does not conform with Gocompare.com’s brand guidelines
  • Websites which breach any applicable law or regulation from time-to-time in force including (but without limitation) the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) rules and regulations
  • Websites which otherwise adopt practices or contain content which damages or brings into disrepute or which may damage or bring into disrepute the reputation or goodwill of Gocompare.com (as determined by Gocompare.com in its sole discretion).

For the avoidance of doubt, you warrant that your website does not and will not during the term of your membership of the programme carry out the above practices or feature the above content.

Keyword Bidding Restrictions

Gocompare.com does not allow affiliates to appear on brand terms unless express permission has been granted on a case-by-case basis. All affiliates must adhere to the below brand bidding guidelines:

Affiliates will not bid / appear on any brand terms or any substantially similar terms or derivatives, mis-spellings or variations thereof including (but without limitation):

  • go compare phrase match negative
  • gocompare broad match negative
  • com phrase match negative
  • go compare.com phrase match negative

If broad matching, affiliates must set brand key words to negative.

Affiliate display URL’s

Affiliates shall not be permitted to use any Gocompare.com domains within display URL’s on paid search engines.

Affiliates must not refer to Gocompare.com at the end of their domain within paid search ads.

Affiliates must not refer to Gocompare.com as a subdomain in their URL.

Product Guidelines

All creative and content used on publisher sites must be up to date and consistent with the Gocompare.com creative. Affiliates are not permitted to hard code banner creative onto sites.

All traffic to the Gocompare.com site through affiliate links must direct through your own affiliate site and for the avoidance of doubt Gocompare.com does not allow direct linking to the Gocompare.com website from browser / search engines.

Affiliates wishing to promote Gocompare.com via social media sites are only permitted to do so with prior written authorisation from Gocompare.com. Please contact the account management team should you wish to discuss this matter further.

All bespoke ad copy and creative must be submitted to Gocompare.com for authorisation prior to implementation.

Publishers must update offer changes within 48 hours of notification from affiliate networks or cease activity pending implementation of the update.

Without prejudice to any of our other rights, affiliates found to be in breach of these terms from time-to-time in force may be removed from the programme and/or declined payment of commission.

Gocompare.com is authorised and regulated by the FCA and consequently has tight branding and copy guidelines. These guidelines are owned and managed in-house by Gocompare.com. However, a brief overview of our branding and copy guidelines for affiliates is included below:

  • Pre-approved copy and banners should be used. These can be found on the Gocompare.com profile.
  • Requirements outside of standard banners and copy will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Gocompare.com directly.
  • Unique copy can be written but requires approval by Gocompare.com. The standard SLA for approval is five days, although this could vary depending on demand. Please contact Gocompare.com directly.

Articles

Should the affiliate wish to write an article about Gocompare.com or its services, which is to appear on the affiliates website, blog, social media page, newsletter or e-newsletter or any other form of e-communication, Gocompare.com reserve the right to have full editorial control over the article. The article should be forwarded to Gocompare.com for approval before going live. The affiliate is expected to comply with this process or risk suspension from the Gocompare.com affiliate programme and any commissions being withheld.

Deep Linking

Once accepted onto the Gocompare.com programme, Gocompare.com will supply affiliates with a unique, product specific URL which include a media code used internally by Gocompare.com. When this unique URL has been received by the affiliate, the affiliate is expected to use the unique URL to direct consumers to product specific Gocompare.com landing pages. The affiliate must use this link as it is presented, without the affiliates attaching their own codes. There are no exceptions with regards to deep linking.

Miscellaneous

Nothing in these terms is intended to or shall be deemed to establish any partnership or joint venture between the parties, constitute any party the agent of another party or authorise any party to enter into any commitments for or on behalf of any other party.

Nothing in these terms is intended to or shall be deemed to convey any title or ownership in any intellectual property rights including (but without limitation) intellectual property rights in relation to trade marks, services marks, logos or designs that are licensed to or the property of Gocompare.com.

You shall indemnify Gocompare.com in respect of any claim, damages, costs or expenses incurred as a result of or in connection with any breach by you of these terms.
