GANT by Michael Bastian sails into Spring/Summer 2014 with Michael’s first-ever nautical collection, inspired by Ridley Scott’s film “White Squall”; a true story about a crew of Kennedy-era American students who learn trust, teamwork and survival skills as they navigate the ups and downs of an epic sailing adventure. “We’ve been dying to work a nautical theme into one of my collections and have never really gone there before. The whole vibe of the film White Squall really spoke to me – in time period and in spirit. If you go back and watch it you’ll see so many references in the new collection, in both key clothing and accessories, and well as in the label treatment. The general look of Kennedy era 1960’s American Sportswear mixed these young guys on a boat working together as a team – it’s feels very GANT in a way.” – Michael Bastian
