EDF Energy launch two fixed price energy tariffs
EDF Energy has launched Blue+Price Promise May 2016, a low fixed price tariff which guarantees customers no price rises until 31st May 2016. This is the cheapest Blue+Price Promise EDF Energy have ever had available.
As well as the new price, customers on this tariff will still have the benefit of our unique Price Promise – where they will be informed by email if they can save more than £1 a week* with another energy supplier.
For those looking for more security of their energy prices, EDF Energy have also launched Blue+Fixed Price January 2017, another fixed price tariff which guarantees no price changes until at least 31st January 2017.
Why choose EDF Energy
None of EDF Energy’s tariffs have exit fees, so if the customer chooses another tariff which is better for them there will be no extra charges for switching. The new tariffs are also backed 100% by low carbon nuclear generated electricity.
EDF Energy offers all customers free online account management, but if a customer wants to get in touch, the call centres are open 24 hours.
* The £1 cheaper a week promise is based on comparing electricity only, gas only or dual fuel Blue+Price Promise tariff against new tariffs (launched since you joined or your last price alert notification) on equivalent payment methods and at typical annual consumption (currently defined by Ofgem as 3,200kWh for Standard meter electricity and 13,500kWh for Standard meter gas, and as 4,600kWh for Economy 7 meter electricity). Where this results in another tariff being more than £52 less per year, than the Blue+Price Promise tariff, this will be treated as the tariff being more than £1 cheaper a week.
