Spring’s arrival means the shedding of winter clothing and dull winter skin. Create your own spring awakening with our simple tips for skin that’s worth showing off.
Clean on the inside, clean on the outside:
Spring is a great opportunity to fast and eliminate the body of sugar, processed foods and other artificial or unhealthy ingredients. Try ingesting lots of water, fresh veggie and fruit juice and low sodium broths.
Drop that soap:
Forgo bath soap and switch to a purifying, conditioning wash plus buffing cloth to exfoliate dead skin and stimulate circulation. Try Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash and The Ultimate Buffing Cloth.
Brush up:
Removing dead keratinized cells helps your products to penetrate more effectively, brings a glow to the skin, causes a burst in cell renewal, increases circulation and lymph flow and gives you super smooth skin!
In the shower (no water yet!), Mix Dermalogica Hydro-Active Mineral Salts with Stress Relief Treatment Oil. Starting at the feet, rub gently over skin. Rub in upward circular motions from the feet right up to the scalp (avoid the face and neck). Now turn on the warm water and wash the salts away: they dissolve on contact so there’s no mess to clean up!
Pat dry and follow with a generous layer of body hydrating cream to trap in vital moisture and protect the skin.
About face:
The face requires something a little less abrasive for exfoliation: we recommend self-heating MultiVitamin Thermafoliant™. Apply to damp skin with light, circular movements for 1-2 minutes, avoiding the eye area. (The thermal technology not only feels great, but drives active age-fighting ingredients into skin!)
Lighten up:
Put the heavy winter creams away and switch back to your lighter or medium-weight moisturizer. Your skin no longer needs thicker, emollient, protective creams as barrier oils and moisture are not stripped away in warmer months to the same degree.
“Tone” in:
