Hornby R1157 West Coast Highlander

Corgi ST97901 4-6-2 Peppercorn Class Tornado 60163 Circa 2012
Designed by Arthur Peppercorn, the LNER Peppercorn Class A1 locomotives were originally built for use on express passenger services. 49 original Peppercorn Class A1s were built between 1948 and 1949, many of them serving right up until 1966. In the 1990s, a group of people came together to build a brand new Peppercorn from scratch, and nearly 20 years later their dream came true when the 60163 'Tornado' made its first journey. The train is still in service today, and is portrayed here in 1:120 scale size, sporting its original early BR livery and emblem, having since changed to a later colour scheme.
