British Airways: Changes to terms and conditions

Written by rachel.dinneen on . Posted in News, Policy Updates, Travel

Hi British Airways Affiliate,

We always like to hear what our affiliates have to say about how we can improve the British Airways programme. A lot of the feedback we've had recently has been around voucher codes, and how they would be of great benefit when promoting flights and holidays.

Voucher code testing and supplying our affiliates with the best possible assets and opportunities to promote the programme is our number one priority - we're hoping to release some codes across a number of markets very shortly.

However, in order for us to do this and to continue to push the programnme forward we are going to have to make a few changes to the terms and conditions of the global programme.

The following section will be inserted into the terms and conditions from November 2013:

Voucher Codes
"We ask that affiliates should only list voucher codes provided by British Airways’ agency or affiliate network.
If affiliates use voucher codes which have not been officially provided by either, then BA reserve the right to cancel any commissions earned through bookings made with an unofficial voucher code."

PPC Activity
"Affiliates cannot promote British Airways through any form of PPC activity - Brand or Generic."

Commission Structure
Just a quick reminder that we offer the following commission on our programme -

  • Hotel+Car: 2%
  • Car: 2%
  • Hotel: 2%
  • Flight+Hotel or Flight+Car: 2%
  • Longhaul: 1.25%
  • Shorthaul: 0.5%

As usual, we love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact us with any feedback.
