In this week’s Textlocal update, we wanted to tell you a little bit more about the value of text marketing and some of the stand out statistics out that prove how effective mobile messaging can be.

• 80% of internet users own a smartphone, 90% never go anywhere without their mobile and on average they check their mobiles 120 times a day!
• 97.5% of text messages are read within five second of being received. This means that marmessages are almost definitely going to be seen when businesses have an important or urgent notification.
• On average, text marketing gets eight times the response of email!
• 81% of users say that they are happy to share their mobile numbers with a business is exchange for  something of value e.g. important information or special offers.
• The average return on investment of a mobile messaging campaign is 28%.
