Publisher News

Even though it’s not yet December, there’s already a sense of the year drawing to a close, with the announcement of the Performance Marketing Awards categories for 2012 last week, and a round up from the final Affiliate Marketing Council meeting of 2011 posted this morning. AMC chair, Helen Southgate has promised to pen a separate piece reflecting in more detail on her time at the helm, but there were a lot of highlights and achievements covered in the summary of full meeting of the IAB’s AMC, which you can read now by clicking here. Also available on their dedicated blog is the deck from the presentation given at the November council meeting.

If you are beginning to reflect on 2011 in order to set some plans in place for making 2012 bigger and better, why not check out Mike Madew’s recent article for affiliates4u about the need for publishers to evolve in order to survive in the current industry environment. It’s worth mentioning that, as part of a recent update to the a4u website, more in depth opinion pieces like Mike’s now have their own separate section, leaving the News section to pool press releases and industry blog as well.

US marketing events and publications company mThink has launched the survey for their 2012 Blue Book revenue performance report. We would love for our publishers to get involved so you can be amongst the first to see the results. Simply click here to access the questions that should only take a few minutes of your time to complete.

Finally, make sure you explore TheHub this week because that’s where we’ll be hiding the image of a Christmas present that is the key to entering this week’s Christmas prize draw. We’re giving away another must-have gadget from under our Christmas tree - the BLACKBERRY PlayBook Tablet PC! Find the Christmas present image somewhere on TheHub and click it to enter you affiliate account ID or handle into the draw. To help you find the present you are looking for, we have put together a clue to which page it’s on. Click here to see the clue and full competition details.

Until next time,
