Feeling ready for a holiday? Travel Specialist Aga Marchewka took a break from her usual schedule to journey down to the Hurlingham Club last week for PerformanceIN Travel & Leisure. The conference proved a great success with publishers and advertisers alike, who were impressed by the extensive programme of speaker sessions as well as networking opportunities and clinics held throughout the day. Aga kindly put together a summary of her highlights from the event, which you can read on our blog. Following their dedicated travel conference, Affiliates4u released an insightful report about the current state of the travel sector within performance marketing. After a rocky ride over the last few years, the report heralded good news for the sector as it recovers and stabilises. Click here to find out more and download a free copy of the full report.
Speaking of sector specific events, Affiliate Window and buy.at will be hosting our next networking event on April 11th for the home, garden and outdoor vertical. Following strong positive feedback for Al Fresco last year, we will once again be running an afternoon of presentations and facilitated networking to support advertisers and publishers working in the home and garden sector to discuss new opportunities. This year, we won’t be taking any chances with the weather, and will instead be hosting the event indoors in “the City’s secret Garden” - The Folly. Find out more in this week’s Partnerships Tips. If you run activity to promote home and garden advertisers and would like to contact us about attending the event, please email events@digitalwindow.com.
Some sectors can be taken for granted, especially if they are less seasonal. For example, you might be surprised to learn just how big the health, sport and fitness vertical is, with a massive 41% of publishers reportedly promoting advertisers within this sector. The strength of the sector in performance marketing is also attested by the growing number of health and fitness brands who are working with global affiliate network buy.at across the US. With household names such as C.O. Bigelow, Fitbug and Slendertone now operating programmes on the platform, there are plenty of opportunities for UK publishers with sites or activity in the US to make the most of the consumer demand in this sector.
