In the final leg of its relay around Great Britain, the Olympic torch is touring our capital city, spreading Olympic fever and Team GB spirit with each momentous step. As the flame passed through the South East this weekend, many Affiliate Window staff were out to witness its onward journey. One Olympian we’ll be keeping a keen eye on is swimmer Rebecca Adlington. Not only is she one of our country’s brightest hopes for a medal this year, but she also holds the title of Ambassador for our new charity partner, the Encephalitis Society. Last week staff held a bake sale to raise money for this fantastic cause and next month a team of five intrepid employees will take on the Three Peaks Challenge! We hope you will rally behind these courageous and crazy employees in their bid to raise £5,000 for those affected by Encephalitis.
If you want to get out in the summer sun and meet some of your fellow performance marketers, consider joining July’s IAB Affiliate Marketing Council meeting and free affiliate drinks. Taking place on July 26th at the IAB’s offices in central London, it’s the perfect way to stay abreast of the work of the AMC and socialise with friends from within the industry. Affiliate Window will be in attendance and we hope to see some of you there too.
Calling all bloggers! Did you know that you can now categorise yourself as a blogger or social media site on your Affiliate Window profile? Last week we added a new sub-category called ‘Bloggers & Social Content’ to the list of available promotion types for you to select. If you haven’t already updated your Profile please do so now, as this will help advertisers using the search functionality in our Publisher Directory. Finally, a reminder that at 22:00 BST on Wednesday 26th July, there will be a maintenance window of one hour as we carry out essential updates to the Affiliate Window platform.
