Publisher Tips
Modern Day Link Building Tips – Part Two
1) Have real conversations with others on social media and become a trusted voice in your industry. People will be a lot more likely to link to your content that way.
2) How about running a competition for the website which gains the most number of social shares for a piece of content you have created?
3) Use tools such as www.copyscape.com to find out if your web content has been copied somewhere, and www.tineye.com/ to discover if your images have been used elsewhere. If they have, then ask those websites to mention your website.
4) If someone says that they want payment in order to publish your article, or aren’t accepting guest blog posts at the moment, then make sure you still follow up. Make sure you have a dedicated rebuttals system.
5) Build up a persona. So, talk about your interest in a particular topic (which you know that the person you are sending an email to has an interest for), and be extremely specific. Highly personalised emails are much more likely to garner a response.
