ohtique features a ‘chosen because’ section on each and every product, giving the online visitor ohtique’s personal reasons why they believe the product is good enough to be included on the site.

We recognize the growing trend for mobile browsing (tablet and smartphone) and have a created a fully optimized mobile version of the ohtique.com

Which months are most important for your brand? When are your key sales periods?

Christmas and Valentine’s Day are definitely the most important to us and when we can expect the most sales.

What do you think is the next big thing for performance marketing?

We see mobile as the next big thing.  We are fortunate enough to have extensive mobile experience within our business and have developed a fully optimized mobile site.

Which methods have you found most effectively to motivate your publishers?

We are new to performance marketing, so have no experience of what methods are the most effective, but we are flexible and can easily adopt any suitable ideas.  Currently, we are offering increased commission and are running a launch competition to incentivize our publishers.

What’s the best piece of performance marketing advice you have been given?

Communication is key!  Continually communicate with your publishers, listen to their feedback and adapt your methods according to consumer behavior.  Also, remain consistent with your content and approach.

If you could change one aspect of the industry, what would it be and why?

We’re assuming you mean our industry and not the performance marketing industry?….

If so, then we would like to change the “seedy” image that some companies in the industry promote.  This is only helping to enforce and prolong the long standing perception about the industry.  Sex toys shouldn’t be anything to be ashamed of and that’s what we are about; making it more acceptable and accessible to consumers.

Handbag.com is our go-to website for all the latest in fashion, sex and lifestyle.

Do you have any new/big plans for the next few months that publishers should know about?

We are working with a PR agency to build our brand awareness.  As part of this, we are working on a female focussed survey and case study, which will be released to national press and female lifestyle titles within the next month.
