Green Sea Turtle Being Cleaned

Would you look at that - it’s June already! Where does the time go? Well, we have something to be grateful for this week as the sun has finally made an appearance. For those true sun-seekers, be sure to enter our Father’s Day competition where the first prize winner will win £500 On the Beach vouchers. The competition runs through until 23:59 (GMT) Tuesday 11-June-2013 so go on, tell us the wonderful things that dad says, because although UK sun is great, it’s no match for overseas sun :).

The mobile landscape has come a long way since the days of non-mobile optimised sites and a lack of tracking affiliate sales through handset platforms. Now that advertisers are embracing m-commerce, Client Strategist, Matt Swan takes a look at the rise of mobile activity, the tracking solutions in place, the benefits of such solutions and the issue of visibility in his latest article via Fourth Source.

Matt’s not the only one who has been busy editorialising, as Affiliate Window’s COO Adam Ross made clear the importance of leveraging the long tail in a piece for PerformanceIN last week. In the Scaremongering, Complexities & Doing More for Long Tail article, Adam stresses the importance of understanding the challenges new publishers face and how systems and approaches need to be adapted to suit the specific long tail needs. It is interesting to note that the industry may be faced with an uninspiring future, consisting of a smaller group of larger publishers. If all performance marketing businesses chose to only focus on work with larger publishers in order to maximise revenues.

Until next time,
