Winning isn’t everything, except sometimes it actually is. There was a whole heap of woo hoo-ing to be done at Affiliate Window HQ as our Sky team took home the DADI award for Best Use of Affiliate Marketing. The DADI’s (The Drum awards for the digital industries), now in their 6th year, recognises and rewards digital excellence. We are immensely proud of our team here, so a huge congratulations to all the members of the Sky team. For those of you who missed the results the first time round, you can find the full list here.
From the DADI’s to the IAB, last week’s Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Annual Affiliate Advertiser Survey (supported by the A4u) saw a 45% uplift in investment from brands into their affiliate programmes, increased commission payments and confidence in the year ahead. With over half of all advertisers who responded to the survey reporting online sales of more than £10 million, this is a clear sign that the performance marketing channel is going from strength to strength. We’ve been collecting stats of our own here at Affiliate Window. With m-commerce being the talk of the town at the moment, we have prioritised tracking all mobile activity across the network. Our latest figures show that 16% of traffic and 12% of transactions came through mobile devices. We can all agree the importance of these stats with Deloitte forecasting m-commerce sales to hit the £3.5 billion mark this Christmas. Head over to our blog for a detailed overview of these results.
