Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for chocolate eggs on our sites and in our communications because each one is an additional chance to enter our Easter prize draw. The competition is open until Wednesday 4th April, so get clicking on any Hotel Chocolat eggs you see for a chance to win your own luxury extra thick chocolate egg. Inspired by the seasonal sweet treats, we recently spoke to Atelier des Chef about their alternative Easter gift ideas. They let us know all about their chocolatey plans and offered some great tips and tricks in a recent guest blog post. Read more about their interactive cooking classes with professional chefs by clicking here.

With our Home, Garden and Outdoor sector event, Al Fresco, next Wednesday, our minds have turned to spring cleaning, making the most of the garden and getting the house ready for summer. There are so many brands within this sector, selling everything from craft goods to the big lifestyle purchases. This variety has got us wondering about the way the sector has changed over the last few years as people’s attitudes to their space have  become increasingly conditioned by the recession. As such, we launched a poll today to ask our partners in this sector what effect they though the economic downturn had had. Let us know what you think by voting in our poll and/or leaving us a comment on our blog here.

Last week, to help raise awareness of the need for all advertisers to take mobile tracking seriously, we released a list of our clients who have already implemented it. While we believe that this list should be a lot longer, we wish to support those programmes who have taken the initiative to track their mCommerce. See the whole list and a surprising statistic about the value of mobile sales by clicking here. Almost 3% of all sales through the network in March were made on a mobile device (and this figure more than doubles when we include tablet PCs), but a recent infographic from vouchercodes.co.uk suggests that this is not the whole picture when it comes to mobile shopping. Using your smartphone as a payment device, as opposed to a browsing device, is also on the increase. With 60% of consumers currently keen to avoid making payment through their mobile, there is still a lot of education and innovation needed, but the predicted size of the NFC payment and online wallet industry is massive. Find out more here.

Finally, a date for your diary: The IAB’s Affiliate Marketing Council has announced that the next full council meeting will be held on Thursday April 26th. The venue is yet to be confirmed, but the usual industry-wide networking drinks are planned for after the session. Keep an eye on the IAB website for further details.

Until next time,
