21st January 2014

Publisher News

"How's the diet going?," "How dry was your January?" - these are the inevitable questions you're bound to hear as the first month of 2014 winds down to a close. But as one door opens, it's always good to remember the one that just closed by taking stock of the highlights the previous year had to offer. We have rounded up our achievements  of 2013 in The Year That Was: A 2013 Retrospective.

Of interest to all those working in the industry will be the IAB's second Online Performance Study which was published today. Key figures show UK businesses spent £1 billion on performance marketing and lead generation activities in 2013, 15% more than in 2012. One of the most compelling pictures to emerge from the Study is the diversity of activity the channel encompasses with price comparison, editorial, cashback, voucher codes and loyalty all featuring as important revenue drivers. Learn more on our our blog or download the full research here (IAB members only).

As the industry grows, so does our network. We were delighted to have been listed as one of the top five CPS networks for 2014 in the annual BLUE BOOK survey (up from the 12th spot). The US focused survey attracted 50% more respondents than ever before, making it the largest research survey in the performance marketing industry with tens of thousands of industry professionals coming together to identify the best affiliate and CPA networks in the world. The full list of the Top 20 CPS networks can be found on the mthink website.
