As advent marches decisively on, this week we sent out our own Christmas card to all of our partners, including a message from Affiliate Window and buy.at Managing Director, Mark Walters, looked back on developments in 2011. This last week before Christmas sees the eighth week of our festive competitions to reward our publishers. At this stage in proceedings, it's all about finding gifts that can be delivered to their recipient in time. We've compiled a list of choice advertisers on the network that can offer just that - in the form of vouchers, experiences and subscriptions that can be bought right up to the last minute. All you need to do to enter this week's prize draw is actively promote at least five of the advertisers on our special last minute list. Last week we ran a mini competition for a bit of Friday fun through our @AWinXmas twitter account. Throughout the day we tweeted clues to a festive figure, inviting publishers to guess who we were thinking of. Well done to everyone who got involved and guess correctly that our hints were all about Ebeneza Scrooge. A great way to look forward to the events of 2012, with many celebrations planned for Dickens' 200th birthday in the fast approaching New Year.

There have been a cluster of predictions out this week about the spending we can expect to see even as the Christmas present peak comes to an end. There were statistics released about last minute consumer behaviour forecast for Christmas eve, as well as the first rush for sales bargains on Christmas day. The timing of this year's holidays suggests, not only that there may be a lot of very last minute gift buying for others, but also that online shopping for ourselves will get going strong as soon as the crackers have cracked.
