Modern Day Link Building Tips – Part One

Are you finding building links to your website isn’t as easy as it used to be?

1) If you are approaching sites for guest posts, make sure that your suggestions for titles are very specific to the website in question. If too general in your approach, then your chances of a response will be much lower.

2) If you have gained a guest post spot ensure you only send quality content as the post will be including a link to your site and is therefore representing your brand. Moreover, if your work is not of a high standard, then the offer of publication may be retracted

3) If you are sending contacts an infographic in order to gain links, add a share bar. Your aim is to get people to share after all!

4) Don’t just link to your site with a generic author box at the end of guest articles. Instead, include two to four relevant links in your posts, only one of which should link to your website. This is termed ‘environmental linking.’

5) When approaching a website for a link, first find out what their most shared piece of content is on their twitter and Facebook accounts. This is beneficial so that when yo

u approach them, you can offer a similar piece of content.

A little less demand for discount codes. They steal a little more revenue than we’d like!
